Interim secret clearance

I always see timelines for interim being granted but not denied. Here is my timeline for an interim secret denial for USCIS: 6/5 e-QIP Submitted. 6/7 Fingerprints. 6/8 Soft pull on credit report. 7/5 e-QIP denied. 7/7 e-QIP resubmitted.

Interim secret clearance. Anything is possible. They give out the interim based on less information than is obtained with the full clearance. When they do the full background check, who knows what they might find that can cause you to get denied. Odds of a clearance are 50/50, you either get it or you don't. However, most people get them after getting an interim.
